Book Summary
Grace was best friends with one of the most popular guys in school, Graham. She has never fit in and has been considered a freak. Now that she doesn't have her best friend by her side she doesn't know how she will survive her last year of high school until she meets the hot new guy. The new guy doesn't care about the rumors that are spread about her. Things get complicated when she learns that Robert (the new guy) is an angel.

Grace Shelley-One of the most annoying heroines in a book that I have read so far. She lets everyone walk all over her and she never stood up for herself. Like most YA romance she falls head over heels for the two hottest guys. She is considered a freak by her classmates.

Robert -He is considered one of the hottest guys in school who falls for the heroine. His character was decent most of the time. He reminded me of Edward from Twilight except not as creepy as Edward was.

Graham -My least favorite character in the book. He was selfish and arrogant. I wanted Grace to put him in his place but, of course she didn't. Like Robert, he is one of the hottest guys in Grace's school. Grace and him were best friends for most of their life until his girlfriend got in the way of their friendship.

Stacey -My favorite character, she speaks her mind and stands up for Grace. I wish the book was about Stacey because she would make a great heroine.

Lark-Lark is Robert's sister. I also enjoyed her character. She could be described as having an icy personality towards people but, she eventually connects with Stacey and Grace.

+/- or Dislikes/likes
(-)Cliche book
(+) Angels
(-)Graham
(+)I enjoy the book cover
(+) When the main character isn't selfish
(-)Reminded me of Twilight... except no vampires in this book
(+)The fight scene was fun to read

"Serves you right for being here, you jerk," She spats.

I really wanted to enjoy this book but, I found myself bored while reading it. (I even skipped some pages to see if it would get any better). I read the whole book since I don't like to write reviews without actually reading the book. I didn't have a problem with the writing style but, I found the plot and other parts of the book boring. I might try to read book 2 in hopes that it might be better.

Passion by Lauren Kate (Fallen #3)

Title: Passion By Lauren Kate
Publication Date: May 8 2012

Book Summary
Luce is reincarnated over and over with no clue, how long this will go on for. As she reaches the age of Seventeen, her life seems to end. Luce goes back through her past lives to try to figure out how to save the love both her and Daniel share.

Luce- I enjoyed her character when I first read "Fallen". I felt at times her character could use a more mature approach. I admire characters who have a kick ass attitude and can fight for themselves. I really loved learning about her past lives because each of them left her with a trace of what she is today.

Daniel- I love his character and find his character to be the one who is the strongest. After all he has went through, witnessing his love die over and over again, has to be horrible. His character almost has moments when he is thinking about giving up but, the thought of the love he shares with Luce pushes him to stay strong.

Cam- I enjoy his character and love his bad boy side. We don't get to see a lot of him in this book but, I love when he does come in. We see a bit of the past Cam but, not enough to really understand him. I think the author should make a Daniel/Cam short story.

Bill-I always thought his character was how he turned out in the end. I did enjoy the moments between Luce and him.

+/- or Dislikes/likes
+Daniel/Luce's epic love throughout time
+Cam's sexiness :3
+Reincarnation story-line
+The writing style

Out of all the books in the Fallen series, Passion is my favorite. I think Passion shows the relationship between Daniel and Luce, the best. When I started reading this I couldn't put it down and was sadden when I lost my hardback copy on the airplane, so I had to wait to finish it until I could get a new copy.

“I’ll love you with all my heart, in every life, through every death. I

will not be bound by anything but my love for you.”

City of Bones

Title: City of Bones by Cassandra Clare (The Mortal Instrument 1)

Publication Date: March 27,2007
Publisher: Margaret K. McElderry Books

Book Summary
Clary Fray witnesses a murder committed by three teenagers that only she can see. The three teenagers who are Shadowhunters that rid the world or demons while keeping werewolves and vampires in line. She meets Jace, a hottie with golden blonde hair. She is brought into the Shadowhunter world after being attacked by a demon and her mother's disappearance.

Clary-I surprisingly enjoyed her character. I usually enjoy kick-butt heroines who don't need help taking down demons or evil creatures. I think her being weak at first is a great way to show how her strength will grow and become a fighter later on if she chooses.

Jace- I enjoy his character even though he can be a complete asshole...(if he wasn't an asshole, I think his character would have been boring). I really enjoyed that even though he is arrogant that in the end he would do anything to protect his family.

Simon-Simon is Clary's best friend and he is in love with her (or he thinks he is). I thought his character was okay. At times I loved him but, then at times I wanted to slap him.

Isabelle-She can be a bitch at times but, it is just part of her personality. She is loyal to her friends and family.

Alec- Isabelle's older brother who happens to be in love with Jace. He is the one who has both Isabelle's and Jace's back during a fight. He isn't really fond of Clary.

+ Action: I love books that have a lot of fight scenes/ action type moments that make you heart beat pump faster and this book provides it.
-Simon/Clary love: I found myself hating how Simon gets pissy witnessing Jace and Clary kiss even though he claims to love Clary but, kisses Isabelle. It makes him a hypocrite and me wanted to slap him.

Halflings

Title: Halflings by Heather Burch

Publication Date: January 17 2012
Publisher: Zondervan
E-book via Netgalley

Book Summary
Nikki Youngblood is a black belt in karate but, has no experience with boys. Someone or something is after her and in order to protect her life she has three boys to watch over her. These three boys are sent on a journey that has them protecting someone, this time it is a teenage girl.

Kudos to the author for starting the first chapter with some action. Usually books wait until the middle before deciding to bring out some action pack fun.

Mace/Raven/Nikki triangle- I am not a fan of this triangle.... I felt weird when she is like eye sexing Raven after she has the major hots for Mace. Raven is the hot bad boy....but Mace is way better for her <3

Mace- I loved this character <3. He was just too sweet and I felt like he countered his bad brother Raven. He was meant for Nikki.... (:

Nikki- She was a good main girl in the book, in a way she reminded me of one of my favorite book characters. She has the sense to fight and defend for herself instead of being a mary sue and play the hopeless victim.

Raven-Every book needs a bad boy which I think Raven fits this perfectly. He seems to be a playboy which to be honest fits his character. He does not belong with Nikki though. The romance between the both of them seemed forced.

-1 I didn't like how when we find out who is after Nikki the book ends.... it felt like the plot was useless since it wasn't solved.... I guess it was a smart move to ensure I read the next book to find out what happened.

I had high hopes for this book being a better rating then a 3 but, towards the middle it felt kind of like a let down with the pace and plot etc. I will say it was tolerable to want to read book 2 in hopes for more action packed fun. I mean the author writes well and includes a good mix of romance/action it just seemed like the action felt odd.... I also have to say that for being written in third person point of view the book did great to capture all the characters without giving to much away before the story ended.
