Book Summary
Leesa is a young college freshman who moves from San Diego to Connecticut to find out what happened to her missing older brother and to figure out if her mothers ridiculous one fanged vampire story is true.

Leesa- I enjoyed her character and loved how she acted strong. She has a limp but, that doesn't stop her from being as fast as normal people.

Rave-I loved his character ever since his opening scene. I love his relationship with Leesa. I also admire how sweet he is.

Cali- Out of all the friends Leesa has, Cali is my favorite. I think she counters the fun party side that Leesa lacks.  I wish that we could see more of her and Andy's relationship.

Stefan-I have a love/hate relationship with this character. I think he is an interesting character and wouldn't mind getting his back story but, I don't want him interested in Leesa.

Bradley- We don't get to know much about him in this book, only a few flashbacks but, from what I have learned he seems like a character I will grow to love.

"I think I was bitten by a vampire. A one-fanged vampire."
"Rule number one: no gloves during sex."
This book was breathtaking and had me wanting more after I finished. I didn't find myself skipping pages or anything but, most first books in a series lack compared to the second. I hope the other books in the series leave out the references to Twilight because it takes away from the beauty of this book.

                             Book Summary
Sydney and the gang are still hiding out at the human boarding school. Hiding the secret of vampires and alchemist is harder than it seems. The gang are also faced with some forbidden romance and old faces along with new ones.

Sydney- I enjoyed her character ever since she entered the scene in the Vampire Academy series. She is the opposite of Rose's character but, still tries to be a strong female. She doesn't always want to rely on the others to help her out. I enjoy her being the main character as it gives us an outside look of the Moroi/Dhampir society. I am glad she gets a bit of romance in this book.

Jill- For some reason ever since she became Lissa's half-sibling, I have not been fond of her. I also don't like the bond between her and Adrian. I hate how she is so oblivious to certain things around her when Sydney could figure it out (and she isn't even good at romance). I hope she gets better for me as the series goes on.

Angeline- I extremely dislike her character. She is a lot better than she was in Last Sacrifice but, she seems like a reckless copy of Rose gone way wrong. She wasn't as bad as I thought she was going to be and was bearable.

Dimitri- Your cameo was much appreciated. He is just too sexy for his own good. I really hope that he and Adrian can patch things up.

Adrian- I enjoy his character (not more than Dimitri though) but, sometimes I want to punch him or shake him until he realizes he needs to shape up.

The ending: I actually liked it....but, in a way that didn't make me want to throw my book.. I didn't see the cliffhanger that everyone seems so worked up about... (Maybe I am clueless or a page is missing?)

I am anti-Sydrian :)!!!!!!  (maybe in the 3rd book I'll soften up)

Book Summary
Clary Fray witnesses a murder committed by three teenagers that only she can see. The three teenagers who are Shadowhunters that rid the world or demons while keeping werewolves and vampires in line. She meets Jace, a hottie with golden blonde hair. She is brought into the Shadowhunter world after being attacked by a demon and her mother's disappearance.

Clary-I surprisingly enjoyed her character. I usually enjoy kick-butt heroines who don't need help taking down demons or evil creatures. I think her being weak at first is a great way to show how her strength will grow and become a fighter later on if she chooses.

Jace- I enjoy his character even though he can be a complete asshole...(if he wasn't an asshole, I think his character would have been boring). I really enjoyed that even though he is arrogant that in the end he would do anything to protect his family.

Simon-Simon is Clary's best friend and he is in love with her (or he thinks he is). I thought his character was okay. At times I loved him but, then at times I wanted to slap him.

Isabelle-She can be a bitch at times but, it is just part of her personality. She is loyal to her friends and family.

Alec- Isabelle's older brother who happens to be in love with Jace. He is the one who has both Isabelle's and Jace's back during a fight. He isn't really fond of Clary.

+ Action: I love books that have a lot of fight scenes/ action type moments that make you heart beat pump faster and this book provides it.
-Simon/Clary love: I found myself hating how Simon gets pissy witnessing Jace and Clary kiss even though he claims to love Clary but, kisses Isabelle. It makes him a hypocrite and me wanted to slap him.

Bloodlines

                                   Bloodlines
Title: Bloodlines by Richelle Mead

Publication Date: August 23, 2011
Publisher: Razorbill
Pages: 432 pages

*Note:  It took me a while to read Bloodlines as I am still sadden by the ending of the Vampire Academy series. Also there might be some slight spoilers if you haven't read The Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead.

Book Summary
Sydney is an alchemist who is sent to a human boarding school to keep an eye on the Moroi Princess Jill Dragomir. She is trying to redeem her status with the alchemist who think she has grown to close to the vampires.

Sydney- Sydney's character is first introduced in Blood Promise of The Vampire Academy series. I am still unsure of how I feel about her as the narrator of Bloodlines.

Adrian- I enjoy his character but, I didn't really enjoy him as much in Bloodlines.

Eddie- In Bloodlines we get to see Eddie mature into a guardian. I enjoy his character in this book.

+/- or Dislikes/likes
(-)Micah- I was sad by this character as he reminds me of  Mason. I felt bad for Eddie because Mason was his best friend. (maybe this is Mason's long lost sibling)..

(-) The Bond- I wasn't too keen on the bond as I am used to the bond with Lissa/Rose.  Also I don't think Adrian should have a bond as his wild lifestyle would impact Jill. I also think the bond gave Jill the nasty attitude on Rose who she once admired.

(+)VA Cameos- I loved seeing cameos from Vampire Academy because it helps set the story in the same world except having it different at the same time.

(+)Human perspective-During The Vampire Academy series we see things through the eyes of Rose who is a Dhampir, Bloodlines is through the eyes of a human. We get to see how Sydney and other alchemist view the Royal moroi world.

(-)Adrian/Sydney- I do not like the idea of those two being together... because as Sydney believes it is wrong for a human and a vampire to be together...and she states that in the book when Micah shows interest in Jill. Yes Adrian deserves love...but, I rather see him with some unknown Moroi....  Team Trey... or in the sense for Sydney.
